Blueberry Hawthorn is one of the "black-fruited" species of hawthorn ,
but it is only very distantly related to the other black-fruited species
such as C. douglasii or C. nigra. The common name "Blueberry haw" refers
to the appearance of the fruit, which are almost blue.
Growing Info, follow in order:
Scarification: Soak in cold water, let stand in water for 24 hours.
Stratification: warm stratify for 120 days, cold stratify for 90 days.
Germination: sow seed 1/4" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed.
Other: Spring sowing of unstratified seed will produce germination the next spring.
