Vintage The North Carolina state flag includes the dates May 20, 1775 and April 12, 1776 on ribbon 4 by 6
The North Carolina state flag includes the dates May 20, 1775 and April 12, 1776. These dates represent the signing of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence and the Halifax Resolves, respectively. The Halifax Resolves authorized North Carolina delegates to approve the Declaration of Independence.  The dates appear on ribbons above and below a white star in the center of the flag's blue bar. The star is flanked by the letters "N" and "C" in gold. The color scheme of the flag is similar to that of the United States flag. Good vintage condition with some age spots. xxx
