The original paperback novel ANARCHAOS appeared relatively early in the career of author DONALD E. WESTLAKE; and, because the genre was science fiction, for that very reason he may have chosen to use the pseudonym CURT CLARK (although he had earlier written a handful of science fiction short stories under his real name).  Whatever the reason, ANARCHAOS is a classic mystery story of brotherly revenge, that just happens to have a science fiction setting:  Rolf Malone's brother had been murdered on the planet Anarchaos, a planet with very little resembling law and order; and Malone is determined to hunt down those who had killed his brother, and find out why.  Traditional mystery readers should not be put off by the science fiction locale -- this is old-school DONALD E. WESTLAKE, no matter upon which planet it may have been set.
