Purple Ruffled Basil (Ocimum basilicum)
Purple Ruffles leaves are a deep-purple with a unique ruffled edge. Try them tossed in your next green salad or use as a garnish to add elegance to your best dish. Purple Ruffles Basil adds an interesting contrast in the herb garden planted beside the more common gray and green herbs and looks terrific next to bright bedding plants in the flower bed or in mixed containers. The hint of licorice and cinnamon flavor of this variety is not as strong as the other purples and it needs full sun for best color.
