The book contains information on many, many mines in the state, going into considerable detail on their safety improvements, accidents, fires, fatalities, etc.

Fold-out maps and photos illustrate the book.

I believe it is signed with compliments of Harry Packer. Harry would be the son of Asa Packer, founder of the Lehigh Valley Railroad.

CONDITION:  he covers are heavily worn, frayed all around, stained, etc. Hinges reinforced with bookbinders glue. A few pages have soiling or other wear, a couple of pages are loose including on photo plate that has heavy chipping around the edges.
