1850s antique victorian HANDMADE PURSE~EMMA NICHOLS (worrilow fam) glen mills pa

This listing is for the fabric bead beaded purse shown.   Identified, handwritten on paper:

"Made by Emma Nichols in early 1850s.   She worked in Wilcox's Paper*.  This is the property of Edna Dutton McLaughlin.   Grandaughter of Emma Nichols Worrilow.    *Mills at Glen Mills, Delaware Co. at that time the only mills in the U.S. to make te paper upon which the federal government money was printed"

This purse has significant wear.   There is a hole on one side as you can see.  Some detached metal beads.   Some rusting/wear.    This heirloom hopefully will find it's way back home.   Excellent family ancestry history.

Measures approx 4" long, not including the fringe.
