as to its' title and main subject. He shows a mermaid lazing in a boat while floating in her pool. The surroundings are

filled with different fish that inhabit the pool or pond. There is a duck trying to hide within the hanging limbs and

leafy gold like plumage. Colors of green lily pads fill the waters as fish work to find their food and move around

within the pond. Beautiful blends of green, blue and colors that make up the mermaid. Very unusual subjects for

Maslov, but he does go off to create new visions in lacquer box subjects.
