Product description: Great recording, with Bohm spacing the tempo just right in both the first and last movements, and Pollini performing exceptionally (not necessarily a given). This recording is from 1979, but it wears its years well and still sounds vibrant. Pollini and Bohm seem to have a similar "feel" for the work, which helps this interpretation. This is probably my favorite recording of this work, and I own a few (Giulini/Michelangeli, Abbado/Pollini, Brendel/Haitink, Serkin/Bernstein, Kempff/Leitner, Fleisher/Szell)...for a perfect combination of sound and performance, I recommend this one.
