The Male Mystique Personal Development Paperback Book by Urban G. Steinmetz 1970

The Male Mystique, which first appeared as a series of articles in THE PARENT-EDUCATOR magazine, is a dis- armingly candid study of the "Real" American male, his attitudes, phoniness and inner conflicts.

It has a lot to do with sex-and a lot more. Steinmetz tells it straight: about the long-suffering male who isn't "gettin' enough lovin'" at home (when in fact, all the woman really wants is to be treated as a person instead of a thing).

He talks about the real meaning of masculinity and what sex can be when it no longer is a proving ground for the male ego and about what a difference it can make in a marriage when the "Real" man becomes honest with himself and with others.

Urban G. Steinmetz is a noted author and lecturer on marriage.

He is the executive director of the Family En- richment Bureau (Escanaba, Michigan), and has over a decade of experience in marriage counseling.

His other books include "I Will" The Present and Future of Marriage (Ave Maria Press), With Marriage in Mind and Let's Talk About Sex (Fides), and his articles appear regularly in national magazines and periodicals.
