A Medal for Frankie Wartime Humor Paperback Book by Franklin M. Davis Jr. Comedy 1960
A rowdy novel about a wrong guy who turned the army into his own private sucker trap.
Frankie was asking for it...
He pulled his first dirty trick on his mother. She was unwed at the time he insisted on being born. Next, Frankie bit the hand that fed him-- he took off with the receipts from the orphanage cake sale. Then he parlayed his stake into something bigger-- much bigger.
Picking up other men's bankrolls-- and their wives-- was a breeze for Frankie. Then he took over the Army and the dough really started pouring in. He rigged poker games, operated black market deals and provided off-base frolics for lonesome soldiers.
But Frankie's private gravy train was running out of steam. Miles away another Master Mind was cooking up a lot of rotten deals of his own.
And there wasn't enough room anywhere for both Frankie and Adolph Hitler!
