101 Ideas for Clubs Club Handybook Hobbies Hardcover Book by Renee B. Stern 1968

For many years this little book has been the standard guide for all club activities, with emphasis on their organization. It contains a multitude of ideas that can be adopted by clubs of all sorts to make their activities more of a pleasure for members. Now the book has been revised with new illustrations.

The author starts with methods for setting up a basic club constitution with simple by-laws and workable rules of order. It is "not a substitute for Roberts' but a useful tool," as the Library Journal points out.

"Among the contents of this still-useful aid," states the A.L.A. Booklist, "are harmless initiation stunts, club names, mottoes, and colors together with their meanings, sample: patterns for occasional speeches and written club documents, and suggested debate and essay topics."

With a special chapter on the club at school, and many ideas for participation in community programs, the book has been widely acclaimed for its translations of Greek letters and their use for fraternity and sorority names.
