The Adventurers Adventure Thriller Paperback Book by Ernest Haycox 1956
Linked by danger, they sought freedom and fortune on a raw and violent frontier.
"I'm never going to be cold, hungry or alone again. Never!”
Seared into Clara's mind was the nightmare of the shipwreck. Two hundred people bound from Frisco to Oregon, filled with plans and hope for the future. Three reached land. She was one. Revelwood and Sheridan, the other two.
That night when the raging tide threw them onto a barren coast, Clara knew she could never think of the future with certainty. What good had their bright plans been to the young women dead in the stormy seas?
She would have men-strong men, rich men. Men who would give her furs, a fine home, jewels. Sheridan and Revelwood loved her.
Let them fight over her!
