Dudley, there is no tomorrow Then how about this afternoon Paperback Book by Shepherd Mead 1964
SUBURBAN FOLK LORE
So there was this snob-urban community called Cobb's Point, where the husbands spent all day in the city making money, and all night at home making martinis and their neighbors' wives, in unequal doses, (depending on the size of the husband).
Into this segregated heaven rode Dudley Bray, the dis-organization man, intent on preserving home and family—a crumbling railroad station and a disillusioned ex-wife, respectively.
In six wonderfully wacky days, Dudley does both. And incidentally solves the mystery of what ever happened to good old Tom, his ex-wife's second husband, a commuting Casanova who loved too well and once too often..
“The book is as delightfully intriguing as the title. And the hero is more unlikely and more intriguing than either." Book is in acceptable condition. General shelf and corner wear. A few white marks on front and back cover. Cover fraying along edges. Cover creasing. Light staining on exterior and interior. Piece of tape on spine. Small scrapes on front cover. A solid reading copy. Please see photos for details, and let me know if you have any questions.
