Food For The Family Cookbook Hardcover Book Jennie S. Wilmot 1960
It has been more than two decades since the first edition of Food for the Family was published.
During this time, there have been many changes in all areas of family living, but none more significant than those surrounding the multiple aspects of food for the family.
Today's supermarkets are symbolic of these changes.
They are largely responsible for alterations in buying habits and for greater variety in food served.
Families have also made other adjustments because of new findings in nutrition research and continuing progress in the areas of equipment and all phases of food technology.
As our standard of living has continued to rise, more family members, especially mothers, have become wage earners in order to purchase desired consumer goods and services.
All of these factors have affected food for the family.
As drastic changes in family living have occurred, educational programs designed to benefit families have also undergone change.
The approach to teaching foods has had to be continuously altered in order to keep pace with our fast-moving age.
Book is in good condition. General shelf and corner wear. Some white marks on the front and back cover. Some fraying along the cover edges. The dust jacket is in tatters, I am including it for completeness sake only. A solid reading copy. Please see photos for details, and let me know if you have any questions.
