This watch is a 1942 Longines with a Swiss made 8LN movement. It was cased in the U.S. this was typical of the time, as the company saved money on import taxes.

The case is 14kt solid rose gold, the band is 10kt gold filled caps over stainless. The movement runs and keeps good time.

The face of the watch could use a good cleaning, and the exterior could use a good buffing. There are no cracks or chips in the crystal, and no obvious pitting or deep scratches to the case.

In the interior of the case back you can see the various dates that the watch was serviced.

This 17 jewel movement currently runs and keeps time well. The last service date that I can read is from 1999. There are a few service dates that I cannot decipher.

I have not had this timepiece serviced, I would suggest having it lubricated and cleaned. While the current band is quite fine and wearable, this watch would look amazing with a leather strap.
