Congo Watermelon is an heirloom that's been around since the early 1900's. Congo watermelons have one of the highest sugar contents of all watermelons, about 9.5 %. It was developed in northern Africa to thrive in high heat and humidity. Disease resistant to FW and AN1. The melons are Extra-large XXL 30 - 50 lbs with blunt ends and dark green streaks over light green skin. The flesh is dark red, crisp and juicy. Loaded with antioxidants.

• Full sun.
• Spring, soil temp 80F+.
• Plant on hills 8' apart.
• SOW 1"deep, 4 or 5 seeds per hill. Keep moist. Hills about 8ft apart.
• Germination 7-14 Days.
