This listing is for the 1800s lidded wood crate with finger-groove corners. Appears to be original battleship blue/gray paint. Then there is stencilled name and date: Henry Haeuser, 1886/1887. The stencilled date appears to be a later addition.

Since this is from a Pennsylvania sale, located near to Philadelphia, PA, I am thinking this was the personal possession of Mr. Haeuser of Liebert-Obert brewery in Philadelphia PA. Though I am not sure.

Good solid box measures approx 16.5 x 12.5 x 7" high.

Very nice primitive box.
