 
Vintage Fisher Price Fun-with-Food #733378 Pie Surprise Dessert Set EXC++! (B)
"Mommy, can I have some dessert?" Here's something that all little bakers will clamor for...a super RARE, Vintage Fisher Price Fun-with-Food #733378 Pie Surprise Dessert Set. This set was only manufactured from 1998-1999. It is exceedingly hard to find, especially in this condition and with most of its components. This was one of the last sets in Fisher Price's wildly popular Fun-with-Food series that began in 1988.
The set consists of the following:
1 RARE, red plastic, fluted pie plate (EXC--has a couple of "leached" out spots on the bottom of the dish; don't know what caused this);
3 RARE, triangular pieces of bottom, fluted pie crust (NEAR MINT--couple of extraneous marks that I believe will come off during the cleaning process; once these are eliminated, these will warrant a MINT rating);
3 RARE, different flavors of pie filling (e.g. blueberry, cherry, and banana) (1 NEAR MINT and the rest MINT; the cherry filling has a few minor scuffs on a couple of the cherries; these are difficult to spot; you virtually have to hold the piece up within 3" of your eyes and rotate it in the light to see them; even then, I had to verify their presence via touch; each pie filling section is approximately 1/2" to 1" thick with the different fruits being sliced or in their original berry form that are molded together; NOTE: These different pie fillings used to emit different fruity scents corresponding to their respective fruit filling; it seems that this scent has disappeared over time);
3 RARE, tan, triangular lattice pieces that appear uncooked on one side and like a baked brown pie crust on the other side (NEAR MINT--few extraneous marks that I believe will come off during the cleaning process; also a couple of teensy rubs on the baked pie crust slices);
1 RARE, small round white can with a litho on the front depicting three flavors of ice cream; inside, the can contains some "strawberry ice cream" with a realistic dip of "strawberry ice cream" on top; the child can use the yellow ice cream scoop to scoop out this dip and put it on the plate (NEAR MINT--the can itself is in MINT condition; the ice cream inside has a tiny line where the pink has disappeared; this is about the width of a human hair; I just now noticed this; the scoop of ice cream is in MINT condition);
1 RARE, round pink lid for the ice cream can (MINT);
1 RARE, red plastic fork (MINT---NOTE: I substituted two blue Fisher Price forks with a flower logo on the end of the handle since I didn't have the red fork);
1 RARE, yellow spoon or ice cream scoop with a large round hole in the end of the handle and an apple imprinted on the handle (NEAR MINT--couple of invisible scratches on the outside of the bowl of the ice cream scoop; I only found these via touch); and
1 RARE, round dark green plate with checkerboard imprints around the edges (EXC--light surface scratches; NOTE: I substituted two Fisher Price blue plates in lieu of the dark green plate called for in the Fisher Price specs).
To compensate for some of the above substitutions, I have included three additional pieces: a yellow spatula and two blue glasses.
This is a darling set and one that any child would enjoy. This set was designed for 3-7 year old children. As far as I can tell, many of the components (e.g. pie crust, pie fillings, ice cream, yellow spoon) were manufactured in China. The remaining pieces were either produced in the U.S.A. or Malaysia. I do not believe the recent Fisher Price recall of toys made in China included this particular set.
This set weighs approximately 1 lb. UNWRAPPED. Since the USPS only allows items weighing up to 13 oz. to be shipped First Class, I will be mailing this via Priority Mail.

I DO NOT PAD MY SHIPPING COSTS—-NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL! I SHIP WITHIN 48 HOURS OF A CLEARED PAYMENT.
I primarily utilize Fed Ex Home Delivery for items exceeding 5 lbs. in weight, measuring greater than 12 inches in any dimension, or traveling longer distances. I’ve been finding Fed Ex has been running @33% cheaper than the USPS (including Parcel Post) and UPS Ground. FYI, another benefit of using either Fed Ex or UPS is that their quote includes up to $100 worth of FREE insurance. Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account.
In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item.
International buyers are responsible for any Custom's fees, VAT's, or other taxes imposed by their governments. I am not responsible for these charges. Insurance is required for all international shipments. Last, but not least, I offer a 10% discount for orders totaling $125.00 or more.
