I have one canister jar left in this set. The other two have sold already. It's the smaller jar and is 7 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide, and weighs 2 pounds 13.9 ounces. (I think a size smaller than this one was also made, but I never had it.)

There is no damage to the glass. There are no chips or cracks. But the plastic liner is worn, and as such lids tend to do, the plastic on the lid has cracked.

The smallest jar still seals. (I recommend never picking up the jars using the lid as a handle. To test the seal I have done it, carefully, and the smaller jar seals well enough I could pick it up by the lid. However, you just never know when it's going to release and drop the jar!)

I see that most sellers say these jars were made by L. E. Smith. While Smith did make a canister set with milk can shaped jars, I am skeptical that these were made by Smith. The reason is: All of the Smith canister jars I have ever seen have lids that are ground to fit the neck of the jar, not lids lined with plastic. My book on Smith glass doesn't mention whether or not their milk jug canisters have plastic seals... but there is no plastic edge visible in the pictures -- which CAN be seen on this set and most other sets for sale. So I think they are reproductions imported from another country. Still very nice jars, though!

This will be shipped  by either UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage rate (except for International). Local delivery is always available for free to a mutually agreed upon meeting place.
