Rebecca Jackson was born in 1799 and made this sampler at 13 years of age in 1812. She married into the Williams family of the historic village of Deerfield, Massachusetts, and is buried in the Deerfield cemetery.  Deerfield is a significant historical village in American colonial times as well as the Williams family. Today, the village is like walking back into the 1700s. Please Google the information if you are unaware.

This sampler came up for sale in an extremely rare auction.  Items from this village do not generally become available, and this should actually be in a museum. However, we are offering up to the public for private collectors.  All provenance will be shipped with the item.

It's very unlikely another historic artifact of this caliber from Deerfield will become available again. Thanks for looking.
