Tavipec is a herbal medicinal product containing lavender oil, a pure herbal active ingredient, which is the essential oil of broadleaf lavender. 
Tavipec facilitates expectoration, has an antimicrobial effect and increases the body's non-specific defenses. It is used as an expectorant and adjunct to antibiotic treatment in: acute and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the bronchial tract) bronchiectasis (dilation of the bronchial tract) cough in smokers sinusitis (inflamed sinuses)
 Do not take Tavipec if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to lavender oil or any of the other ingredients of Tavipec. 
Take special care with Tavipec if symptoms persist or if no improvement is observed after taking Tavipec. You should consult your doctor as soon as possible. 
There are no trials for use and dosage in children, therefore Tavipec is not used in children under 12 years of age.
 Taking other medications 
To date, no drug interactions have been observed. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. 
Taking Tavipec with food and drinks 
So far no interactions have been observed. 
Pregnancy and lactation 
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. Tavipek can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
 Driving and using machines 
Tavipek does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.
 Important information about some of the ingredients of Tavipek
 Dye E 110 - may cause allergic reactions. Glycerol - may cause headache, stomach irritation, diarrhea. Possible side effects 
Like all medicines, Tavipek can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist. 
Uncommon: Depending on individual sensitivity and doses taken, gastrointestinal side effects such as belching and mild nausea may occur. Your breath may smell faintly of essential oil. This can even be considered pleasant. Allergic reactions are possible. 
Storage instructions 
Keep out of reach of children. Store in the original carton in order to protect from light. Do not use Tavipec after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after EXP: (month, year). The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
 
Method of use
 
Adults and children over 12 years: 2 capsules 3 times a day Tavipec - capsules should be swallowed whole with some liquid, 30 minutes before eating.
 If you take more Tavipec - capsules than you should - There are no known cases of overdose. 
If you forget to take Tavipec - Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
 If you stop taking Tavipec - If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
