These are similar in style to another pair of my chandelier earrings, but somewhat more restrained in terms of the number of swirly, twirly spirals. As stated in that listing, the spirals add not only style, but stability as well, as they keep the creation intact. The main, long bead, is made of paper, believe it or not, which is cut into long, long triangles, then wound tightly with a special tool made just for this. After the paper is tightly wound, I added decoupage glue and then lacquered the beads several times. Just for fun, I also added a bit of silver glitter. Finally, I've added an even more restrained paper-bead creation, each finished with a few silver-nickel swirls and a discrete, deep red garnet.
