• Condition: The compote is free of chips, cracks and fleabites. There are some slight marks from use and storage, none distracting or easily seen without close inspection. There are no notable flaws in the glass. The foot has light shelf wear as expected. The glass is clear, free of cloudiness with a light green glow under UV light. It has wonderful bell-like resonance.
Broad Flute was produced by four companies in the 1860's including Boston and Sandwich, McKee Brothers, Bakewell Pears and New England Glass Co. This bowl is likely New England Glass Co based on catalog drawings, however McKee and Boston & Sandwich's patterns were very similar.
