There are 8 different kitchen collectibles in this lot. They look like they could have come straight out of Grandmas country kitchen.
- Metal Biscuit / donut cutter with the center insert to make the donuts. It measures approximately 2 5/8 inches across and 5/8 inches deep. The red painted metal handle, and the cutter itself are both dented.
- Wood rolling pin with red ribbed wood handles, rolls well. It does have a nice older patina on it, and is useable as is. It measures approximately 16 3/4 inches long including the handles, the body itself measures approximately 10 inches long. It has a circumference of approximately 7 inches around.
- Androck pastry blender or dough cutter. It has a red painted wood handle. The six wire blades are heavily discolored with moderate rusting. It measures approximately 4 inches across, and 5 1/2 inches long when measured from the center of the handle down. It would be a good display piece. It is marked Androck USA.
- Vegetable garnisher slicer. The handle is stained red. It would have made crinkle cuts in harder vegetables like potatoes or cucumbers. It measures approximately 6 1/2 inches long including the handle. The cutting blade is 3 inches long, and measure from 1 1/2 inches up to 1 3/8 wide. There is some discoloration on the blade, with a good cleaning I believe this one could still be used.
- Beater spoon or whip. It has a red painted wood handle. The metal that goes up into the wood handle is a heavy twisted wire, the body of the spoon is made of spring like wire. It measures approximately 11 inches long including the handle. The spoon or beater section measures approximately 5 inches long, and 3 inches wide.
- Blue Whirl Eggbeater with red plastic handle and turning knob. The blades are marked stainless. It turns easily. The blades do have some discoloration, and there is a very light amount of rust around the area where they are attached together. This one could be easily cleaned with some steel wool and you could use it if you wished. It measures approximately 11 1/2 inches long.
- There is a hexagon potholder crocheted with red cotton thread, and varigated orange cotton thread. It measures approximately 6 1/2 inches across. There is a hanging loop in the center on one side. There are a few loose thread that could be pushed inside the potholder. The colors are still bright a vibrant considering its age. I would date this one circa the 1960s.
- There is a small crocheted basket potholder, that could also have been used to hold utensils or napkins. It was originally white, but it has yellowed over the years to a dull off white color. It has a red trim and a red crocheted rose in the front. The rose measures approximately 1 1/2 inches. The potholder measures approximately 7 3/4 inches from center bottom to the top of the handles. The widest part of the potholder measures approximately 6 1/2 inches wide. I would date this one circa 1940s - 1950s.
All the handles have wear. The painted and stained ones have missing paint in spots. The plastic one is scuffed and discolored along the seam line. The potholders have some wear, and would make great display pieces.
