Young Men is published monthly by Street & Smith Publications, Inc., at 575 Madison Ave.. New York 22, N. Y. EDITOR: ALBERT L. LEWIS.

Speaking of Young Men: Author of our lead article on air conditioning is Robert C. Blatt, editor of "Refrigerating Engineering" magazine and director of publications for the American Society of Refrigerating Engineers, a national technical society having more than 6,500 members from all parts of the world. Mr. Blatt belongs to numerous engineering societies as well as Sigma Tau, the honorary engineering fraternity. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of New York.... The companion piece on air conditioning training for technicians was prepared for us by Robert Hays, assistant professor at Southern Technical Institute.... We were happy to note that in the helpful "R/C Bibliography" by Paul F. Runge and published by Ace Radio Control, Street & Smith magazines and annuals were the source for 103 different items on radio controL This was more than all the other six publishers who appeared in the compilation put together.... Note that we've combined and enlarged our plane-boat-car design competitions into one "Designs of Tomorrow" contest. Total awards each month are considerably higher than for the 3 separate affairs. So far we've given out more than $6,500 in cash prizes! California has produced the most winners, followed by Illinois, New York, Texas, Michigan and New Jersey. How's about trying your hand ?--Al Lewis.
