Disraeli Gears is the second studio album by Cream (2), from which two singles were released; Strange Brew [May 1967] and Sunshine Of Your Love [Jan 1968]. The album gained the band strong attention in the USA, where it reached #4 in the US Charts in 1968.

It was inducted into the "Grammy Hall Of Fame" in 1999 and ranked 112 in "Rolling Stone" magazine's '500 Greatest Albums Of All Time' [in 2003].

Recorded in the USA at Atlantic Studios, there is much division between hardcore followers as to the mono works being 'truer' to 'the sound of the times' and the quality of pressings between those of early ATCO (multi color label) and UK Reaction issues. The writing on a bar napkin of "Tales Of Brave Ulysses" for Clapton brought designer Martin Sharp into the creation of the sleeve.
