Superb exceedingly rare Set of 12 Martele? by Gorham .9584 sterling silver Soup Bowls with daisy motif, made July 1907, making time 6 hours, chasing time 25 hours by Emil Stursberg. Gorgeous hand chased daisy decoration and hand hammered finish. Fully hallmarked Martele Gorham, .9584 MHG, with retailer stamp for Spaulding & Co Chicago. Only 24 ever made.

Martele was Gorham's most expensive and most desirable silver. When all pieces were then being machine made, Gorham brought together in their most talented silversmiths and opened one department to make silver Martele' by hand.

They measure 10 3/8" in diameter x 1 1/2" tall and weigh 19.75 troy ounces each. They have a beautiful hand engraved crest on each, along the wide rim. They are in excellent vintage condition. Museum quality.
