    the standard video cable wire that is typically used to connect cable and satellite boxes to most TVs. It's also a popular interconnect cable used with DVD players, VCRs,  and other video components utilizing standard "F" connectors. When used with with splitters and/or couplers, it's easy to send or extend signals to other rooms.



    Technical note: There are two standard types of coaxial video cables used for digital HDTV applications. RG-59U and RG-6U. RG-59U is adequate for most video applications, works great and costs a little less than RG-6U. The "larger" (thicker jacket and shield) RG-6U is best for demanding high definition video applications and is also better for running inside walls for more permanent installations.
