Alaska Pea (Pisum sativum), is a semi-dwarf shelling pea variety that will grow on 2-3' climbing vines. Will produce 6-8" pods that contain 5-8 small smooth peas. Native to England where it was known as Earliest of All, where it was a cross between Ringleader and Little Gem. Excellent cool weather crop that can also be grown in containers. Also excellent fresh or dry in pea soups. Perfect for canning or freezing
