Vintage Walt Disney’s Fantasia Movie Old and New: Two Rare Vintage Items that would make a Great Unique Gift for the Disney Enthusiast / History Buff Collector.

Vintage 1940 Original Disney Fantasia Roadside-Show Release Souvenir Program with four Cleveland, Ohio, Hanna Theatre Matinee Ticket Stubs dated April 06, 1941, and an Ohio State Consumer’s One Cent Sales Tax Stamp stapled inside the back cover: 1940 – 1941, Disney got RKO Radio Pictures (that had balked at the idea of distributing a “longhair musical”!) to release the film in 13 cities across the nation as a theatrical roadshow with Fantasound (A pioneering Disney / RCA sound system collaboration that made Fantasia the first commercial film in stereo sound, the precursor to surround-sound. The sound systems were later disassembled and given to the war effort.). The movie first opened at the Broadway Theatre in New York City on November 14,1940, with proceeds going to the British War Relief Society. Patrons were taken to their seats by trained Disney staff and given a souvenir program booklet illustrated by Gyo Fujikawa.*

Booklet measures approximately 12.75” x 9.75” and contains ~26 pages.

New Old Stock Factory Sealed Walt Disney Fantasia VHS Video Tape in Clamshell: Fantasia has received three home video releases. The first, featuring the 1990 restored theatrical version, was released on VHS. Betamax, and laserdisc on 11/01/1991 as part of the "Walt Disney Classics" line.*

Program and Stubs are in Good 83 Year Old Condition: Cover has some addition in pencil and some random stains, one that leaked through to the first page. Cover and pages are tanned from age. Staining from staple binding on cover and first page, as well as on the back page from stub’s staples.
