This code prevents folks from right-clicking or using the control-v shortcut to copy words on your page.
 
They can still retype word-for-word, or take print-screenshots, but wouldn't that be discouraging for you if you were a scraper?

WHY USE IT:
  • Besides the fact you may not want people to copy your content you worked hard to create or post...
  • Google hates duplicate content, and will try not to have items appear at the top of search results if it's deemed duplicate content
 
HOW IT WORKS: 
 
If someone right-clicks, they will get the message shown in photo: "Function disabled!" 
 
Using ctrl-v will NOT allow them to copy/paste, but they DON'T get the "function disabled" message.
 
Works on almost any web page or website.
 
HOW YOU USE IT:
  • Paste this code into the backend or 'site manager' of your webpage or website
  • On your merchant sites, such as Fee-Baayy go to the html section of your product description while you're listing it, and put the code above all other html code
  • You can also add it to existing listings, by just selecting the "revise listing" option, go into the description part, click the html tab, enter at the top of all other html, and that's it!

WARNING 1: DOES NOT WORK ON BONANZA. It used to, but I think they reconfigured their code to not allow scripts. Does still work on eBay. See the "function disabled" photo above.
