This unique Carnival Glass bowl is made by Federal Glass and is in the Pioneer pattern with an intaglio fruit design. The color is a gorgeous smoke gray with an iridescent glaze with flashes of blue, green, and purple colors. The pictures don't do it justice ~ it's reminiscent of an oil slick. The edges are ruffled with a star pattern on the sides and the inside has a fruit pattern with grapes, plums, oranges, and leaves. It would make a lovely dish for an entryway, kitchen, or dining room. It would also make a great housewarming gift for the Carnival Glass lover. The bowl (made in the '70s) measures 11" across and is 2" high and has no chips or cracks. There are a few light surface scratches on the bottom of the bowl, but they are commensurate with age. NO STAINS, NO SCRATCHES. JUST LIKE NEW OFF THE SHELF.
