This necklace features hand-crafted "S" shaped links of copper and a green "donute" agate pendant. Also included are agate, carnelian and goldstone beads. Interestingly enough, despite their fierce sparkle - which must be seen in person to fully appreciate - goldstone is a man-made material, which was apparently accidentally manufactured twice. The oldest such material found date from ancient Egypt. After a long, long time, the same substance was accidentally reinvented by a monk during the Middle Ages. As he was manufacturing glass, some copper shavings fell into the vat of molten glass and - voila - goldstone. Despite the face that it is man-made, it is so lovely that it is highly valued. As with all my creations, I've provided extra links to use with my hand-crafted clasp to make the necklace adjustable.
