This Scarf has hand crochet around the edges and the pattern is hand embroidered.  My grandmother used this type of linen under a lamp on a dressing table or living room table.  It is 10 1/4 inches deep and 12 inches wide.  The front has a little jut out of about an inch. The embroidery and crochet is intact. There are no holes in the piece.  I have used them for many years and machine wash and dry them.
