Anyone can grow ground cherries in their garden. Enjoy a bounty of flavorful fruit throughout summer and fall by choosing this. Note, the fruit is the edible part, not the husk.
Germination instructions: Plant seeds 1/4 into the soil, lightly covering. Take care not to over water the seeds (use a mister so the seeds don't sink too far down when watering) however do keep the seeds and the soil moist. Soil should be 70-85 degrees. If the ground is not this warm outside, start the seeds indoors to better control temperature conditions. In ideal conditions, expect germination time to take 2- 6 weeks.
