About US; Campbell Films is a small American family business dedicated to the preservation of rare, historical films. Started in 2007 by a father and son, team. They have worked tirelessly to digitize, compile and create truly rare and unique DVD's to share with the world. The son went to film school and father is a veteran with the historical passion, so together they assembled the content of Campbell Films. Most likely you'll find things you haven't seen before. 1st Film: "A Day at Westpac" Aircraft carrier USS Oriskany with the 7th Fleet as crews function and live aboard CV-34. Crew load bombs on F8U and A-7s, then launch them for attack. Other crews work on the maintenance of these aircraft and other crews load fuel and supplies. (RAS) . Runtime 21:28m
2nd Film: "Essex-class Carriers in Korea". Almost all carriers in Korea were Essex-class carriers. Flying F4U Corsairs, F9F Panthers, F2H Banshees, and the AD-1 Skyraiders off the coast of Korea to fight off the communists. Runtime 12:50m
3rd Film: "Fire Aboard CV-34" Actual footage of the fire aboard USS Oriskany. In 1966 a fire started on the starboard side and raced down 5 decks before stopped. 44 sailors died in the fire. It was caused by an accidental firing of a magnesium flare. 11:54m
4th Film: "200th Missions" In 1968, aviators celebrated their accomplishment of having 200 missions aboard USS Orskany. Actual footage of this event with Skyhawks, Skywarriors, Intruders, Vigilantes Corsairs and Intruders. Runtime 17:58m
5th Film: "Oriskany Newsreels" 1st: CV-34 Launched. 2nd: F4U Corsair lands and bomb explodes on deck. 3rd: JFK visits Oriskany and the Navy demonstrate their sea power. runtime 18:50m
6th Film: "Sinking of USS Orskany" After a long service to our nation, USS Oriskany was scuttled in 2004 off the coast of Florida as an artificial reef. Runtime 5:15m
