GREAT SMITH by Edison Marshall                                               Dell Books, Second Paperback Printing, 1952                              Condition: About Very Good                                                                                                                                                              Despite a suggestive cover and squibs like "Love slave to a Turkish beauty" & "Magnificent lusty love-making", this is not sleaze.  Marshall was a popular historical novelist of his time, and this is a fictional version of the Captain John Smith/Pocahantas story.  The only previous pb printing was an Armed  Services Edition in the '40s.  This is a surprisingly solid book for its age and thickness (447 pages).   Just a moderate spine lean, reading creases &  light wear on the extremities, including a small light corner crease.  The binding is secure and there are no markings .
