Up for sale is this stunning limited edition print by Martiena R. Richter.  This is a signed print, numbered 400 of 400, and titled “Moonsong”.   Very scarce to come across the print numbered last in the series!

The overall paper size measures approximately 11” x 13”.  Your print will come with its Certificate of Authenticity!

Scratchboard is the world’s most direct engraving medium.  To create an original drawing, the artist first develops a pencil sketch which is then transferred to the scratchboard (a white, clay board which has been coated with black ink).  With a very sharp knife, the artist cuts through the ink surface.  After the entire drawing has been completed in black and white, several layers of transparent colored watercolors are applied over the drawing.  Portions of the drawing are re-scratched, and re-painted until the desired results are achieved.  A self-taught artist, Richter first discovered the magic of scratchboard in 1974, and it has been her medium of choice ever since.  Richter is a member of the prestigious Society of Animal Artists and travels to about ten juried art shows each year.  Her growing number of self-published limited edition prints are being sold throughout the U.S, and her works have been licensed for several collector plates and other products.  Her engravings have received numerous awards, and are included in private collections throughout the U.S, Canada, and Europe. 

The print you are bidding on is in excellent condition, has never been framed, and has been carefully stored laying flat.  There is no damage to the picture, or tears to the paper.
