(6) Six Antique Cabinet Card and Folder-Style Cabinet Card Photographs. All pertaining to the inter-related Mattson family of Finlayson, Minnesota and Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Ranging in approximate dates of 1880 to 1920. Ranging in size from 4 x 6, to 8.75 x 7.57 including mounts. Condition: These are original photographs, not a copy or reproduction. The two smaller cabinet photos have been trimmed, the family picnic reunion photo is very good except for some pin holes and small stains in the mount, the remaining photos are in excellent condition. Comments: The top left photo in our description image depicts Grandpa and Grandma Mattson, the progenitors of this Mattson line but whose names we are unable to ascertain, with their daughter Alma Mattson (born 1893 and married Jack Manson born 1883) and a son John who died in childhood. The family lived in Finlayson, Minnesota. The far left bottom photo has confusing information on the back. It reads "Jack & Alma Manson" but also includes the names "Aunt Hiede or Hilda, and Aunt Gerslain (sp?) and indicates it was taken between 1900 and 1910 in Finlayson, Minnesota. The top middle photo features the family of Jack Manson and his wife Alma Mattson Manson along with their children Edwin, Everett, Elsie, Emily and Ellen. It was taken in by Bergroth Studio in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The middle bottom cabinet photo is of a large "Picnic in Minnesota" which we presume is a Mattson (and perhaps Manson) family reunion. The upper right photo depicts sisters Emily Mattson (Manson) and Elsie Oman (Manson). It was taken by Bergroth Studio in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The far right bottom photo depicts the wedding of Emily Mattson and Andrew Oman. It was also taken by Bergroth Studio in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. There are many twists and turns of these families, but we are including a handful of photocopies of genealogical information we have been able to locate online.
