1. Pour near-boiling water over seeds and soak for 24 hours. Wrap seeds in a paper towel soaked with 1 part peroxide/5 parts water and place in a ziplock bag. Place in the fridge/cold-frame and keep moist for a 60 day cold-stratification period.
2. Sow 3/4" deep in pots with moistened seed-starting mix. Place in warm indirect sunlight and keep soil moist. Germination will occur in 14-21 days.
3. Resize into bigger pots as needed. Transplant to their permanent location when plants are about 3 feet tall. Protect young plants during the first few winters.
