This is a vintage, mid century ceramic Relpo planter of a pheasant hen.  The bottom of the vintage planter is embossed "Relpo 6741" and has a sticker reading, "Relpo Chicago, IL, made in Japan".  My research indicates that the vintage ceramic water fowl dates to the 1960s or 1970s.  My mother used the planter as a base for greenery many years ago and has been stored in the attic for at least 40 years.  It is in great shape, free from breaks or cracks with the exception of a small chip at the end of the lower tail feather.  It measures about 9" long, 6.5" tall, and 3" wide.
