She and Oscar had 5 children and later moved to Wyoming, where they operated a motel in Laramie for many years. After the kids were grown, they owned "Payne Trailer Sales Company" and became interested in trailer travel. They were early members of the Wally Byam Caravan group in the mid 1950s.
