How to know what size ring you need

Please be aware that rings can and do fit differently depending on the size and shape of your finger. The design of the ring will affect how it fits as well. If the ring is solid and wide it might fit more like the next size down. If it is hollow it might fit like it is a bigger size etc. It all depends on the ring design and the shape of your finger. When a ring fits properly it should slide on easily, but will resist just a bit when coming off, even taking 2-3 seconds to get back over the knuckle. This is normal, and especially common with men, who typically have larger knuckles. If you size your ring to your knuckle, it will be too big on your finger.


Gemstone Identification 
Natural, Lab or Simulated

Natural Gemstones are gemstones that are mined naturally from the earth and are not treated in any way to enhance color or clarity.

Lab Created Gemstones are gemstones created in labs and are identical to their natural counterparts in terms of chemical composition and physical properties.

Simulated Gemstones are man made and resemble the appearance of a natural gemstone but have no chemical or physical properties.

Any named gemstone listed except for diamonds should be considered Lab created unless it is listed specifically as being natural. 
 
All diamonds mentioned are 100% natural except for  colored diamonds. Colored diamonds should be considered as being treated to enhance color.

For semiprecious gemstone jewelry (Not diamonds). A high end thermal refracting gemstone tester is used to help determine what a gemstone might be. It does not guarantee 100% accuracy because some stones refract heat similar, but it narrows down the possibilities. I also try taking accurate pictures to help buyers determine what they believe a stone to be. 
The most commonly used semiprecious gemstones found in  jewelry include: Amber, Garnet, Amethyst, Tanzanite, Topaz, Tourmaline, Spinel, Emerald, Moonstone, Opal, Sapphire, Iolite, Citrine, Aquamarine, Marcasite, Quartz and Ruby.
Stones like Turquoise, Coral, Opal, Jasper, Onyx, Lapis, Sodalite, Larimar, Jasper, Agate and Malachite are commonly used in 
Native American, Southwestern and Mexican jewelry.
