The Longhorns finished the season with an 8-4 record and #17 ranking in the AP Poll. Texas finished with a 5–2 record in Southwest Conference play. The #11 Longhorns lost to #6 Auburn in the 1974 Gator Bowl, 3–27. Team Captains were Center Bob Tresch, RB Roosevelt Leaks, LB Wade Johnson, and DT Doug English.

The media guide is complete and in VERY GOOD condition with some overall wear that includes some light cover  soiling and creases.
