Description
This is a striking and elegant vintage red taffeta formal.
Vintage label: What's Up by Carol .
Marked a VINTAGE size 8, but much smaller in modern sizes - possibly a 0 or 2. Please check measurements given to best predict fit.
Red taffeta.The red has a pink cast - really beautiful - reminds me of an American Beauty rose.
Vintage - possibly 1970's or 1980's.
Fitted one-shoulder bodice has princess seams, but no boning.
Bow on one shoulder.
Dramatic balloon hem sleeve on right side - bare shoulder on left!
Wide pleated sash at waist to tie in bow at back.
Very full skirt.
Bodice is self lined.
Skirt has a white petticoat lining - synthetic fabric at top, full gathered net - at approx knee level - gives dramatic fullness to skirt.
Back zip / hook and eye.
This is a beautifully made dress, and so elegant. The photos don't do it justice!
It's in amazing pristine condition.
I can really see it as a deliciously retro holiday frock!
