Gentian seeds, Gentiana lutea to sow
Gentian lutea (yellow gentian) is a species up to two meters tall native to the mountainous areas of central and southern Europe. It is common in Spain and is widely used for its innumerable properties, being relatively abundant in the Cantabrian area. It is used as a medicinal plant and also as a beverage flavoring.
CROP. Easy to grow species, it needs sun, sow without burying the seeds in a warm-bright-sheltered place and always keep the substrate moist. Before sowing for better germination rates, it is recommended to stratify the seeds in the cold for 2 months, transplant the seedlings when they have several pairs of leaves to their final place, which should be in full sun.
