Product description: This monograph, about the Unitas Fratem, the modern Moravian Church, from the martyrdom of Jan Hus in 1415 to colonial America and the early years of our republic has been called the best short history of the Brethren. It first appeared in 1959 and was reprinted in 1973. Because the book, originally titled Hidden Seed and Harvest, has long been unavailable, the Society, recognizing the need for a new and revised edition, offers this third printing. The text has been revised and expanded to include more illustrations and a list for suggested reading has been added. The concluding portion of Chapter X, devoted to the music of the church, has been extensively rewritten.
