When it's pushed in the contacts close (as long as plunger is pushed in). Size of switch is 0.92" x 0.53" x 1" deep. Mounts by "Snap In" to a rectangular hole slightly larger than body. Size of activator button is 0.34" dia. x 0.78" long. Contacts are rated 0.1Amp 125VAC.
