Vintage original GOVERNOR'S HOUSE breakaway miniature/special effects model from the classic 1930s action/adventure drama, THE HURRICANE, released in 1937 by United Artists and directed by John Ford, in which a Polynesian sailor unjustly imprisoned after defending himself against a colonial bully is relentlessly persecuted by his island's martinet French governor.

This is the actual special effects breakaway miniature of the "Governor's House" that appeared in the final film. It includes the original handwritten provenance of how this was obtained by a former owner from the Prop and Miniature Shop at Samuel Goldwyn Studios (now The Lot) in Hollywood.
