This novel, set in Japan, was the author's first and, to date, only novel. It was a winner of the Pacific Rim Book Prize. Brown has more recently been directing films, notably Book of Love and the multiple award-winning Superheroes. Light corner crease at top of front cover and first few pages and a bit more very slight wear. This Advance Reading Copy (a trade softcover) was published in 1995; the book's official hardcover publication was in 1996.
